Participants will be awarded a Emergency First Aid at Work and Emergency Paediatric combined certificate, valid for 3 years.

Contents of a first aid kit

Record keeping

The unconscious casualty

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the safe use of a defibrillator (All ages)

Management of a choking casualty

External bleeding and shock

Seizures

Fractures, Dislocations

Head Injuries

Providing appropriate first aid for minor injuries, including small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns, scalds and splinters

Asthma, Anaphylactic Shock
